Fifteen communities across Greater Hickory, all run from one yard on 6389 Hildebran Shelby Rd in Hickory. Here is exactly where we deliver, and how quickly.

Our yard sits on 6389 Hildebran Shelby Rd in Hickory. That location decides the shape of our day: Hickory itself and the closest towns — Long View, Mountain View, Hildebran and Connelly Springs — are usually same-day, and the rest of the metro we cover — Newton, Conover, Claremont, Maiden, Catawba, Brookford, Granite Falls, Hudson, Valdese, Bethlehem and St. Stephens — are typically same- or next-day depending on how far out the address sits along I-40, US-321 and US-321. We would rather tell you that plainly than promise a container by lunchtime and leave you waiting.
Each address falls under its own city — a street or right-of-way container needs that city's right-of-way permit through Public Works (the county for unincorporated addresses), while private-property placement needs none — and the towns are each their own municipality, with its own public-works office. NC DEQ does not issue dumpster permits. Each community page below names the correct governing office for a street permit, along with the access, housing stock and local landmarks we actually run into there.
The service area
Hickory and the closest towns, plus Newton, Conover, Claremont, Granite Falls, Hudson, Valdese and more across the metro.
The towns closest to our yard near the Burke-county line — Long View and Mountain View on Hickory's southwest side, plus Hildebran and Connelly Springs out toward Valdese. These are the same-day group: a morning call here is usually on a truck the same afternoon.
The wider metro we cover every week — Newton (the Catawba County seat), Conover, Claremont, Maiden, Catawba and Brookford across central Catawba County; Granite Falls and Hudson up US-321 into Caldwell County; and Valdese out I-40 toward Burke County. Each is its own municipality with its own public-works office, and most are same- or next-day.

All 15 communities from our SW-Hickory yard: the closest group — Long View, Mountain View, Hildebran and Connelly Springs — plus Newton, Conover, Claremont, Maiden, Catawba, Brookford, Granite Falls, Hudson, Valdese, Bethlehem and St. Stephens across the rest of the metro. Hickory and the closest communities are the quickest; the towns farther out along I-40, US-321 and US-321 are usually next-day.
Distance is a real cost, so a delivery to a farther city is not priced the same as one close to the Hickory yard. What we will not do is hide it. You get the full number on the phone before anything is booked, and it does not change afterwards unless the load goes over the tonnage allowance you agreed to.
The city — not the state. For an address on a public street, sidewalk or right-of-way, you need a right-of-way permit from that city's Public Works office (the county for unincorporated addresses); on private property you need no permit at all, and there is no cubic-yard threshold or fire-department permit involved. Each town — Hickory, Newton, Conover, Claremont, Maiden and the rest — handles its own through its public-works office. NC DEQ does not issue these permits. Always confirm current requirements with the governing office before placement.
After an ice storm or a severe summer thunderstorm that brings down limbs — and during the busy dry-season renovation and roofing months, book as early as you can. Outside those windows you can usually get a container within a day or two. Active construction sites book out fastest, so plan ahead if you are working on one.
Yes, and it happens constantly with rental properties and job sites where the owner is not on site. Mark the spot with a cone, a stake or a chalk line, tell us about gate codes and any steep or narrow access, and stay reachable by phone. The driver will call before setting the container down if anything looks wrong.
Call and ask. Our published service area covers the 15 communities listed on this page, from the Hickory area through the rest of the metro on our list. If your address is close to that footprint but not listed, call and ask — we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you or whether you are better served by someone closer.
